My Neighbours the Yamadas is not a film you should seek out, if you're looking for something in the vein of classic Studio Ghibli masterpieces, such as Princess Mononoke (1997) or Spirited Away (2001). Literally every single aspect of this film is different.

First feature from Japanese animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli, and the third feature from its master Hayao Miyazaki, and if you have no idea who or what I'm talking about, rest assured that this is a good place to start

"Mother" was directed by Bong Joon-ho, who did "The Host", which I absolutely hated. I must admit... I hated this film too. Almost everything about it is annoying.

"Ocean Waves" aims for nothing more than to capture a boy's infatuation with a girl, wrapped in a slightly more mature narration from the boy himself, as he looks back on the events, clearly wiser from the experience.

Jackie Chan made a name for himself doing crazy stunts. Without the aid of visual effects or stunts-doubles he regularly puts his own life on the line to get the shot, which pays off in a major way in an action film like this.
