This DVD is very decent.

The softfocus look of the film comes across very well, and prevents the usual artifacts from being too apparent. Blacks are solid and the rich colors are preserved without too much bleeding.

The transfer is clean with only occasional specks.

It would be wonderful to get a shiny new anamorphic transfer some day, but for now this will do.

The subtitles are very clear. There's (apparently) a lot of wordplay going on in the dialogue, but the translation seem to catch most of it.

The only extras on the disc is a trailer and a few biographies. The main menu changes between four different images. A nice little touch.
